With over 22 years of experience in Income Tax and accounting, he has expertise in handling the Foreign Exchange Management Act, economic issues, and foreign direct investment in India. He has advised multinational companies on entry strategies and tax, foreign exchange, and compliance issues. Pahwa has been a co-convener of the study group on the Foreign Currency Regulation Act, President of the Young Chartered Accountants' Federation, and Vice-Chairman of the Direct Taxes Committee of All India Chartered Accountants Society. He has delivered lectures and conducted seminars on FCRA, FEMA, and Corporate Laws in various locations including Delhi, Mumbai, Chennai, and Ranchi.
